Repeal the 1986 Machine Gun Ban

It is a common misconception that machine guns are illegal to own, they are not. Machine guns and NFA weapons are regulated though. On May 19th, 1986, the government closed the national registry and all that was in at the time is what non- Class III FFL people are allowed to own. Because of this the price of these weapons are often over ten thousand dollars, many machine gun owners have organised shooting groups and are some of the most law- abiding citizens in the county. Legally owned and registered machine guns have only ever been used in crime two times since 1934, when NFA laws came into effect. Machine guns should still be registered, but the registration ban lifted, as this could allow potentially millions of more dollars in to the economy each year.
