Repeal the 1986 Machine Gun Ban

There is no reason to have banned the civillian ownership of machine guns made and registered after May 19th, 1986. Only twice in nearly 80 years have registered machine guns ever been used in crime. Since the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA), machine guns have been regulated. Machine gun owners are some of the most law- abiding citizens in the country and have no intersest in using these weapons for criminal purposes. Because of this registration ban, many Americans feel that their Second Amendment rights have been infringed. The price of these weapons have increased to tens of thousands of dollars in most cases. Allowing new machine guns into the national registry could open up new business in the country and put more money into the economy.
