The United States is only one of 3 countries that currently have a 'right to bear arms' amendment in its constitution. We believe that this amendment has led to a culture of violence, resulting in mass shootings on a regular basis. We believe that gun ownership should be a privilege, not a right. We believe that repealing the 2nd amendment would allow states to develop more detailed and thorough vetting process for gun ownership, which would in turn reduce the number of mass shootings. We believe that the NRA is now an advocate for terrorists and criminals, rather than an advocate for innocent gun owners. Taking away the 2nd amendment would give power back to the American people to determine who should and should not own a gun.
