The military we Republicans have paid hard-earned money is the greatest in the world. Due to its might, however, it is now absolutely impossible for individual gun owners to protect ourselves from the U.S. military. Let's face it, the idea of a militia armed with nothing but guns, combatting the largest army ever devised, is ridiculous. We either must downscale our military dramatically, which would jeopardize our national security, or face the facts: guns for protection against the government are irrelevant. All that is created from gun rights is the ability to slaughter innocent civilians. Confiscate all guns now, from criminals and citizens alike, and let our police and military use them for worthy causes that don't kill civilians and police.
