Repeal the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution as it no longer needed as originally written.

Created by E.S. on December 24, 2012

The 2nd Amendment as currently interpreted and implemented is preventing the Government from protecting the public from people who feel that they have the right to carry any kind of gun into any public area. With no meaningful restrictions on type or weapon or magazine capacity, the public is constantly at risk from criminals, mentally unstable people, and vigilantes who can obtain firearms freely. Repeal of the 2nd Amendment will remove the basis for those that claim that the Constitution blocks firearm and ammunition regulation.
