This is a petition to repeal the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. There is no longer any need for the 2nd Amendment because the United States has a permanent standing army. The 2nd Amendment addresses the need for an armed militia which, in the 18th century, needed to provides its own armament. That is no longer an issue, therefore the 2nd Amendment is no longer needed.
