The Affordable Care Act is a sweeping law that intimately affects every American. The law was crafted without input from the minority party, the representatives of half of the American people. It was passed without a single vote from the minority party. In the past, legislation this consequential would not have been passed without broad bipartisan support and strong majority approval of the American people. The extreme partisan nature of this law is unprecedented. Opposition to the law has been as high as 60%, and 50% of voters in the 2012 election called for its repeal.
Do not impose a law on half of America to benefit the other half. Please repeal the ACA and work toward a bipartisan solution to our healthcare issues, one that a large majority of Americans will support.
