On June 9, 2011 President Obama signed Executive Order 13575, which established the creation of the White House Rural Council (WHRC). The purpose of the WHRC is to facilitate the federal coordination and implementation of sustainable development at the local level.
The Executive Order references "sustainable rural communities," which is a reference to "sustainable development" - the nomenclature for the United Nations' Agenda 21 program.
Sustainable development and Agenda 21 call for the government to curtail one's ability to own a gas-powered car and live in suburban or rural areas, and to determine the number of children you may have, to determine the "rates of harvest" of farms and fisheries, and to eliminate your private property rights through eminent domain.
