No child Left Behind and Race to the Top set up every school in our country to fail. These unrealistic and historically unprecedented goals are fragmenting communities and contributing to beliefs that public schools are in crisis where it is then suggested that charter schools are the only solution. Education for profit is not the solution. It does not improve learning or equal access to education for all. Education is not a competition, nor a race, but a long incremental process that continues until death.
