Current federal regulations require the use of loud back-up beepers when trucks and other vehicles move in reverse. See, e.g., 29 C.F.R. § 1926.601(b)(4). It's well-documented that these beepers do not prevent accidents and instead only contribute to noise pollution. We the people request that the Department of Labor repeal all regulations requiring the use of back-up beepers and instead promulgate new regulations prohibiting them.
