I would like to force corporations to pay for every hour that employees work. I currently work for a corporation that makes 16 billion dollars / year in profit in the US, but it routinely forces employees to work 80 to 90 hours / week, but only pays for 40 and pays no overtime. The department of labor does not enforce the laws and congress created a vague law that allows corporations to continuously challenge employees in court for their wages without paying them. Corporations that make billions in the US economy should not be able to evade paying wages and employment taxes on wages in addition to paying little to no income tax by shifting those profits overseas though complex paper work. They should at least be made to pay for every hour worked by employees.
