With the new lead base paint laws which were installed without any notice to the contractor Or public, these laws force the homeowner to remove all lead base paint from the home if homeowner wants to remodel their home built before 1978. This law has created fines so large that the contractors are filling bankruptsy by the hundreds.
If we look at the deaths or the disabilties of lead base paint we can see it is a minor problem vs many other problems like cancer.
The lead base paint of any home with remodeling of 20 square feet on outside and 6 square feet on inside MUST have it tested, the test is cheap . but the removal of sheet rock throughout the home isnt, or the sidding of a home if it needs ot be painted.
