To refrain from escalating the National Debt beyond its current amount, I propose that all efforts related to funding foreign and international activities unrelated to national disasters, relief, et cetera, and are considered "extracurricular activities" in nature, be discontinued.
If each person were required to pay their share of the national debt, I would owe $53,438. It is not the fault of the GOVERNMENT, but the fault of the PEOPLE, who allow unrestrained spending that impacts the economy and world around us.
Instead of proposing to pay for equal technological advances in other countries, we could use this opportunity to update/rebuild our own towns and cities within our nation, OR even start at an American border and expand into Canada or Mexico and help our closest neighbors.
