Repeal the amendment to the Endangered Species Act (ESA)

Created by R.S. on March 26, 2014

A bill recently introduced into the Senate and the House of Representatives would, in ReWild's analysis, add insurmountable hurdles to protecting new species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as well as mandating significant government handouts to private developers.

The purpose is to amend the Endangered Species Act of 1973 to permit
Governors of States to regulate intrastate endangered
species and intrastate threatened species, and for other
purposes (source: http://www.paul.senate.gov/files/documents/SIL135913.pdf)

If this amendment to the act passes, states will have the ability to regulate the Endangered Species Lists, and animals would if not renewed come of the list after 5 years.
