Repeal the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA)

Created by A.A. on March 21, 2015

The AETA prevents people from engaging in conduct that may result in damage or interference with animal enterprise. It targets Animal liberation activist specifically and can criminalize their acts; legally making them terrorists. This infringes with free speech, as well as making others afraid to show the truth and speak for justice.

Providing truth should not be treated as a criminal act. Standing up for injustice should not be a criminal act.

I believe the law should by all means protect animal liberation activists, and all non violent activism.

Overall the animal rights movement needs to move forward. Animals should be protected under the law by all means as well, not just domestic pets.

I ask the Obama Administration to consider a repeal to the AETA.
