The main problem that these schools have with the bill is that none of them want to institute a pilot program. The pilot program would make these schools charge out of state tuition for high demand classes such as English and Algebra. That would mean raising the prices from the current $46 a unit to upwards of $200 a unit. While this allows classes to be offered without any extra state funding it seems to be classist as well because students from lower-income families may not be able to pay the extra tuition.
