We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Repeal the blatantly unconstitutional National Firearms Act of 1934.

Created by J.R. on May 07, 2016

The National Firearms Act of 1934 not only utilizes arbitrary reasoning and nonspecific language but it truly violates the 2nd Amendment and goes against the philosophy of self defense. The N.F.A. places a $200 tax on "short" barreled shotguns, "short" barreled rifles, suppressors and machine guns as well as a ridiculously long verification period ranging from 4-9 months. Criminals and mad men can currently bypass this "all mighty" law with a hack saw or a drill press and some mechanical know-how. The banning of suppressors is nonsensical. Suppressors preserve the hearing of its users and would be highly critical during the event of a home defense situation. This law doesn't help Americans, it limits freedom and their means of self preservation.
