Repeal of Bush era tax cuts. Economic and fiscal responsibility. The bush era tax cuts were to be a temporary one year experiment designed in order to stimulate the US economy. The policy of tax breaks for the wealthy has proven to be unsuccessful. Returning to the tax rate under President Clinton is a common sense approach in helping to stabilize the current economy. The current tax cuts for the wealthy have been in place for over a decade, it is time to repeal them and move forward with a proven income tax rate of 36.9%.
