Repeal the "business records" provision of the Patriot Act to prevent massive government spying on innocent Americans.

Created by J.V. on June 06, 2013

The US government has ordered Verizon to surrender identifiable information on EVERY CALL IN ITS NETWORK EVERY DAY. This is a major abuse of power that shocks the conscience and should forever be banned in law.

A step in that direction is the repeal of the "business records" provision of the Patriot Act, 50 USC section 1861

The order was reported by the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jun/06/nsa-phone-records-verizon-co...

Americans do not want to live in a fascist or communist state. Giving the government the authority to force companies to give data not related to a specific named person boggles the mind and shocks the conscience.
