The chicken tax is a 25% tariff on potato starch, dextrin, brandy, and light trucks imposed in 1963 by the United States under President Lyndon B. Johnson in response to tariffs placed by France and West Germany on importation of U.S. chicken. It is about time we repeal this act so we can have more light duty truck options. The toyota hilux and the Ford Ranger are offered in other countries and now get over 30 mpg but we cant get them here due to the Chicken Tax. Give the consumer more option repeal the Chicken Tax now.
