Repeal CISA (Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act)

Created by M.A. on January 04, 2016

The deceptively titled Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act masquerades as a cybersecurity law, yet is in reality a mass surveillance law. Congress has dropped all pretense that this is a cybersecurity law by stripping away the privacy protections previously listed in the law, and expanding how the collected information can be used and shared.

CISA creates a massive legal loophole, circumventing important privacy laws and enabling US companies to share ANY information with the US government, without legal consequences. Furthermore, all of this information is automatically shared with the NSA and FBI, and there are NO restrictions on how they can use this data.

Snuck near the end of a 2000+ page must pass budget bill, CISA was made law in near secret. It's time to stand up for privacy!
