Repeal Citizens United and End Corporate Personhood.

Created by N.R. on November 16, 2012

We demand that the Obama administration repeal the Supreme Court ruling in the Citizens United V. Federal Election Commission case. This decision is destructive to the power of the people, and allows corporations and millionaires to exercise immense influence over local, state, and national elections. It undermines the core values of our democracy, and threatens the integrity of our elections and the people who represent us.

This year more money was spent and raised for political campaigns than any other year in American history. Over $700 million of independent expenditures were reported on behalf of Super PACs, and it is estimated that about $4.2 billion was spent in the 2012 election year. Much of this money is corrupting, and we have no idea where it goes.
