The Citizens United court decision has caused severe damage to the united states election system we now can clearly see. Representatives used to care about who actually was voting for them, but now they care about the people that fund their campaigns, people that launch attack ads against their opponents, people that help them win elections. But those people are not us, and by no means represent us. Worst of all, those people don't even have to reveal who they are, and hide behind names like "Citizens for Justice"when a more accurate reflection would be "Corporate Special Interests". On July 29th, 2010, a congressman, Chris Van Hollen introduced a bill to force corporate influences to reveal who they are, but the republican majority in congress stopped him, don't let Congress stop us.
