The "Common Core" standards have been adopted in 45 states, including District Of Columbia, and 4 territories. As you may know, most of these state that have adopted it, fully implemented their standards this school year. (2013-2014) And so far, most parents and school officials have been reporting nothing but problems. I'll be honest, when the idea was first brought in to implement "Common Core" in all of these states, I actually supported it. They seemed to be confident on the curriculum, but as time told, most of it has been disastrous. There have been many news articles about these problems, and most include problems with the examinations being too difficult for the grade level. We can't have this "garbage" of curriculum in our schools. Thank you for taking this into consideration.
