Repeal cuts to graduate and professional student aid.

Created by W.W. on February 27, 2012

The Budget Control Act of 2011 did away with subsidized graduate and professional student loans. Our graduate education system is the best in the world and the only part of America's education system that isn't broken. Financial aid for this area of education has been limited to student loans, but recent budget cuts will begin to remove the little bit of aid graduate and professional students receive. Graduate education is a necessary tool in specializing America's workforce and ensuring our nation's overall prosperity. If these cuts go into effect in July we will not only lose doctors, engineers, research scientists... etc, but risk losing are place as the leader in graduate education and research.
