Repeal the cuts to Military retiree benefits that were signed into law in the Murray-Ryan two-year budget plan.

Created by W.F. on January 01, 2014

The recent two-year budget that President Obama signed into law broke faith with all currently serving and retired military Servicemembers by lowering their annual cost of living adjustments. The cumulative effect would be to cut the lifetime value of military retirement by roughly $83,000 for a typical enlisted member who retires at age 40 after 20 years’ service. The typical officer retiring at age 42 after 20 would lose about $124,000.

We spend way more money than we take in, but this shouldn't be offset by hurting the people that are keeping this country safe during this Global War on Terror. Military service personnel have borne 100% of the costs of this war and now they are being robbed by their government.

Sen Coburn's wastebook should be a starting point for cuts!
