We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Repeal Daylight Savings Time.

Created by B.R. on November 06, 2016

This action impacts all citizens across the United States, including those in Arizona that remain on Standard Time and global citizens conducting business within the United States.

Daylight savings time creates an unnecessary burden on citizens across the world. The potential benefit of an unproven 1% decrease in energy costs is lost with the burden and hardship placed on individuals adjusting schedules due to the shift. Daylight savings time is believed to cause an increase in heart attacks, suicides, and traffic accidents. It is believed to cause a productivity loss in the week following the shift.

I encourage the repeal or modification of the Uniform Time Act of 1966, the modification made in 1972 and 1986, the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and any other act or law that includes DST.
