Repeal the Defense of Marriage Act

Created by D.J. on September 22, 2011

Work with congress to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). To allow recognition to same-sex couples and allow appropriate marriage benefits that heterosexual couples already enjoy. With the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, a number of servicemembers have already made it to one of the handful of states to say vows with their loved ones.

DOMA doesn't allow these marriages to be recognized, thus limiting support and benefits of these families that are fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and here at home.
