Repeal the Defense of Marriage Act

Created by J.G. on November 12, 2012

Everyone should have the right to get married. It is appalling to know that two people who love each other can not marry each other because other people are not comfortable with it and because they are of the same sex, but for any straight couple or simply any man or woman it is as easy as driving to the courthouse. This law is unconstitutional, and discriminatory at the least. The right to marry another person should be anyone and everyones choice, and to put a law in place to keep people from doing that just because it is against your religion, or what you think is right, is wrong. We should think about how people feel when they are told they cant do something as simple as marrying another person, just because someone else has a problem with it.
