Repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, allow civil unions protecting the rights of ALL citizens. Change the term "marriage" when used in Government Documentation to "Civil union", allowing churches to hold marriage ceremonies, but NOT granting rights to those marriages.
Seperateration of church and state!
This would allow the government to protect rights, while allowing churches to "marry" whomever they wish.
