The Digital Millennium Copyright Act has been an absolute detriment towards Technological Progress, and only serves to impede the adoption of technology in our society. This over-arching law has affected all American citizens in a negative way, whether they realize it or not, from preventing legal copying of purchased movies and music, to making some forms of automobile repair illegal.
Furthermore, We the People request that the federal government take steps to halt the international pressure that organizations such as the MPAA and RIAA have exerted in an attempt to force their laws abroad, with no respect for foreign policy.
