repeal the DOMA and submit a constitutional amendment defining marriage a union between two consenting people over 18.

Marriage, as a legal institution cannot be defined by any church or religious entity. It must be defined secularly, so that ALL Americans can take advantage of it's many legal advantages. Therefore we must create a constitutional amendment declaring marriage a legal, binding union between two people that have reached the age of consent. In this way, we extend basic rights to all Americans. We must also allow churches and other religious institutions that perform marriage rituals to have the freedom to decline to perform or house any ceremony that conflicts with their religious doctrine.
