The Selective Service draft for military recruits was recently expanded to include women in addition to men. The draft as it stands, though a historical tradition, is a barbaric custom of mass inducement of PTSD on our youth by forcing them into violent situations in which they may not be willing to participate. They are not giving their consent, yet are thrown into situations which they may never mentally or physically recover from, if they are lucky enough to return. The ready and willing in battle are more understanding of the risks, and therefore the mental harm from being forced into battle is foreseeably more harmful and a crime in every element. Repeal the draft and enhance administration transparency when justifiable military action is required in order to solicit more recruits.
