For the second time in 16 years, the candidate whom won more popular votes lost the presidency. We keep trying to tell people to get out and vote because it matters, but the reality is that due to the electoral college, many people's votes are not fairly represented in the election. The electoral college may have been useful back in 1787 when there were no political parties, but it does not work for today's political environment.
