This petition is to bring attention that the Electoral College needs to be removed from future elections.
The Electoral College was created by the Southern states to make sure that slavery stayed in tacit. They were afraid of the Northern states putting a man in office that would abolish slavery.
We now have no longer need for that since Lincoln successfully rid the country of such a heinous law.
We have elected Senators and Representatives using popular vote. Why not use it when electing the man or women that will serve in the Office of the President of the United States.
We always hear the "your voice matters/counts". Now is the time to make that true. To many people do not vote because they believe that their voice does not count. The time has come to end that thinking.
