We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Repeal Executive Order 12333, the primary authority for NSA warrantless surveillance

Created by P.M. on November 23, 2016

In the NSA's own words, EO 12333 is "the primary source of the NSA's intelligence-gathering authority."

Per ACLU, "surveillance conducted under EO 12333 is implemented almost entirely by the executive branch, without review by Congress or the courts ... lacks even the plainly inadequate legislative and judicial checks"

The upcoming Trump administration includes people in position of power who have stated their desire to implement a Muslim registry (and referenced Japanese-American internment as precedent in this context), and similar policies affecting civil rights. Such people should not have access to dangerous tools like EO 12333.

If President Trump wants to implement a surveillance police state, let his signature grace the document enabling it, and let him bear full responsibility.
