repeal FATCA for accidental Americans as the unintentional consequences can be devasting

For decades the US has failed to recognise its accidental citizens. Over the last year banks around the world have been discovering accidental US citizens. The tax and compliance burdens that the US now forces on them are severe. How can such demands be justified from people who have never lived in the US beyond infancy?FATCA is causing many irreparable harm: loss of pensions, bank accounts are closed and the US demands extortionate penalties.
