This is a petition calling on the United States Congress to repeal Title 18 USC 922(q) known as "The Federal Gun Free School Zones Act."
This act ensures teachers, parents, school staff that possess legal concealed weapon permits are unable to carry on school grounds. This only allows criminals the ability to carry weapons into schools and do harm as they do not follow laws. By disarming concealed weapon permit holders this opens up our schools to senseless violence by any criminal without fear of any repercussion until law enforcement personnel can arrive. Repealing this act would discourage criminals from targeting our schools as they would not know the status of school personnel and could no longer count on a zone where they could fire at will until law enforcement personnel arrived.
