Repeal Federal Legal Tender Laws and allow the private sector to create competing currencies using gold, silver, etc.

Created by A.R. on November 30, 2012

Repeal Federal Legal Tender Laws and allow the private sector to create competing currencies. These currencies would be "sound money" and remove the dependency of the people on Federal Reserve Notes. The free market over thousands of years has chosen gold and silver as the commodities of choice to be used as mediums of exchange for goods and services. Monetary contracts which choose these competing currencies as settlement shall be protected the same as those using Federal Reserve Notes. Allowing the people to restore these concepts would protect the people from the devestating effects of currency manipulation and deliberate inflation on behalf of the United States Federal Government and the Federal Reserve.
