Repeal The Feres Doctrine, Which Strips American Servicemen and Women of their Constitutional Rights

Created by A.C. on July 22, 2013

The Feres Doctrine denies members of the armed forces equal protection under the United States Constitution. It is being used to protect the government from accountability for abuses of our service people, including rape, torture, abuse of power, gross medical malpractice, and retaliation against service members who attempt to expose these abuses. The Feres doctrine withholds First Amendment Rights from military personnel, denying them legal redress. Our armed forces deserve the same basic legal protections afforded to all other American citizens. Please join me in demanding that our government not enjoy blanket immunity from crimes committed against the very people who risk their lives to protect it.
