Repeal the First Amendment. Free speech is overrated; we advocate the freedom to keep stupid opinions to yourself.

With the advent of the Internet and global communications, today more people can have their voices heard than ever before, which has convinced many of us that... maybe freedom of speech isn't such a wonderful idea after all. The non-stop bombardment of the ubiquitous news media with its often factually unverified and politically skewed assertions, combined with the proliferation of misinformation and reinforced prejudices spread virally on the Internet, causes in the rational person a frightful headache, and we do so wish it would stop. Petitions for the impeachment of the president, the secession of Texas, and the construction of a bona fide Death Star - perhaps the sanest idea put forth so far - have proven that most opinions are stupid and ought not to be heard. End the madness.
