Repeal the government shutdown passed by Congress

Created by N.W. on September 29, 2013

The government "shutdown" scheduled for October 1st is an unnecessary, childish, and irrational way to convince the Democratic political party to produce legislation that will defund "Obamcare". It is not a legislator's job to blackmail other legislators at the expense of the most powerful nation on Earth. The Republican party may think themselves justified in this action, but in truth, it will furlough several thousand Americans working for "non-essential" governmental organizations, allow potential criminals to bypass regulations posted by those organizations, and make the United States appear less desirable to foreign nations, preventing their citizens from investing in our businesses. It is because of these effects that we have petitioned for the repeal of the government shutdown.
