The Gun Control Act of 1968 and the National Firearms Act of 1934 ban or control certain types of weapons based on either their external or internal traits due to the thought from the liberals in the government that the People don't reserve the right to defend themselves by any means necessary.
The NFA also controls suppressors and requires intrusive and utterly disrespectful background checks. It's none of the Government's business what the People of the United States of America own in regards to firearms and accessories.
