Repeal the "Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990" (18 U.S.C. § 922(q))

Created by M.V. on December 13, 2013

With the recent school shootings, "gun free zones" neither prevent or protect students from attacks when a firearm is used. There fore the The Gun-Free School Zones Act does nothing other than preventing properly trained individuals from protecting themselves and others. Criminals know they will not see resistance in carrying out their heinous plan and therefore this and all subsequent laws should be repealed.

The Gun-Free School Zones Act prohibits any individual from knowingly possessing a firearm at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a "school zone" as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(25).
