Repeal the The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010!

Created by K.M. on April 16, 2015

The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act oversteps its boundaries. Schools are forced to adopt the Act or loose Federal Funding for their Cafeterias. There are also extra modifications to the law that allow schools to adopt their own provisions, thus gaining that school extra funding. Some schools have added provisions making it against the rules to bring outside lunches to school. The school district in my area disallows students to share outside food with other students. My child would split his sandwich with an under privileged child every day. Now he cannot. This Act is unconstitutional, bottom line. Feeding kids a healthy lunch solves nothing. These kids go home and raid their pantries, trying to replenish the lack of sustenance from lunch. Let's end this Act now!
