Suppressors (silencers) are a safety device for firearms. The report from a firearm causes extensive hearing damage and noise pollution.
Silencers have been demonized by popular media. Legislation was written to heavily restrict the purchase of suppressors based on improper representation. Silencers do not "silence" a weapon.
