This public law undermines the sub-division of constitutional law in that it violates the 1st amendment of our Bill of Rights. The 1st amendment guarantees that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. This joint resolution states that the ethical values and principles of the Seven Noahide Laws of the Talmud are the bedrock for which future generations of United States should adhere. This is tantamount to Congress recognizing a day that honors the historical tradition of ethical values and principles of the 10 Commandments as a foundation for which future generations of United States should adhere. This public law, whether directly or indirectly, risks propagating unconstitutional legislation by a religious organization.
