The American working and middle-class people are already reeling from a massive income tax increase with the new year. Many cannot afford to purchase high-priced health insurance plans. This is not a time to add insult to injury and punish them with even higher taxes. Repeal the individual mandate of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and allow them to make their own health insurance choices, based on their and their families' individual circumstances.
