The individual mandate to purchase health insurance as according to the Affordable Care Act is not constitutional. Nowhere in the Constitution is the federal government given the power to force citizens to purchase a product.
Not everyone even goes to the doctor. There are those who believe in home remedies and such and this mandate is a clear violation of their belief. This mandate sets a bad precedent and may eventually lead to citizens being forced to purchase other things.
