Repeal the IRS rule for automatic gratuity. Remove the employer requirement to make automatic gratuity a service charge.

Created by C.M. on January 28, 2014

Las Vegas has always been a tipping industry town. The rule changes have had a negative affect on servers, bartenders, cocktail servers, and everyone directly or indirectly receiving tips. Employers are removing the automatic gratuity because it is easier to abide to the new law instead of adding tips to our paycheck as a wage. The employers also save taxes because tips are taxed only federal taxes and not social security. With this new law, it has hurt our tips because of so many international guest that are used to the gratuity already being added to the check. I ask that Harry Reid can come up with a proposal to the Senate and President Obama to help middle class Nevada; instead of creating a larger income gap. Please help us in Nevada
